With dangerous heat and high humidity hitting the region this week, stay safe with these essential tips from NOAA:
- Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol. Electrolyte drinks can help too.
- Apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) every two hours.
- Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
- Take regular breaks in the shade — especially during the hottest parts of the day.
Don’t wait until you feel thirsty or overheated. Beat the heat before it beats you!
