Emergency Preparedness

Emergency Preparedness

Promotes awareness and encourages Ford County residents to prepare in advance for natural, technological, chemical and manmade hazards that can potentially become disasters.

The Emergency Preparedness Program strengthens Ford County Public Health Department's response to potential or actual emergencies that may affect the health of our county through funding provided by the Illinois Department of Publich Health.

Emergency Preparedness is everyone's responsibility.  With advanced planning, you can be ready for the unexpected.  Ford County Public Health Department encourages individuals and groups to help their communities by signing up to be a volunteer before emergencies happen.  If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for FCPHD, please contact our office at (217)379-9281.
