Ford County is Offering the Vaccine to Anyone in Illinois

Starting June 3rd, vaccine clinics will be held on Thursdays from 8:30am-10:30am and 4pm-6pm.   These doses will be administered at the Ford County Public Health Department in Paxton, IL.  


 As of Wednesday, May 12th, 2021, children 12-15 years-old can receive the Pfizer vaccine.  To schedule an appointment, please call Gibson Area Hospital at 217-784-2734.

Click here to schedule your appointment.  If you know of someone who does not have access to a computer, please assist them in going online to register.  The Illinois Department of Public Health also created a helpline to schedule your vaccine appointment.  To make a vaccine appointment, residents can call 833-621-1284 between 6am and midnight.  The call center is open daily.  

Vaccine Locations

Gibson Area Hospital can provide COVID-19 vaccines to all GAHHS patients 12 and older, regardless of county of residence.  To register through GAHHS, please contact your provider’s office.  These doses will be administered at GAH.

In addition to health departments, local pharmacies are partnering with the Illinois Department of Public Health to adminster vaccines. To find a pharmacy near you, click here.  Type in your zip code and select the radius you are willing to travel.  All vaccinations are by appointment only.  Please check this site regularly, as new sites and pharmacies are being added daily.
